Junior Video Editor

This position is for those who are highly creative and relatively experienced using industry standard non-linear video editing applications e.g. Apple Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, etc. This position does NOT require skills in one particular video editing application. However, the applicant must possess strong video editing skills in either Apple Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere Pro. The key requirement for this position is creativity.

Communication Skills
  • Spoken English (Moderate/Intermediate Level)
    Ability to communicate in a phone conversation, video conference or face-to-face meeting using standard American English with perfect grammar and proper use of words.
  • Written English (Moderate/Intermediate Level)
    Ability to communicate and create documentation in standard American English with perfect grammar, correct spelling and proper use of words that a native speaker of American English would be able understand.
Graphic Design
  • Adobe Illustrator (Beginner)
    Ability to use Adobe Illustrator CS 4 or better to create vector graphics.
  • Adobe Photoshop (Strong/Advanced Level)
    Ability to use Adobe Photoshop CS 4 or better to create attractive designs.
Personality Traits
  • Attention to Detail (Strong/Advanced Level)
    Ability to handle large amounts of small and seemingly unimportant details.
  • Creative - Artistic (Very High/Expert Level)
    The natural ability to come up with original ideas in the context of creating artistic content or designs.
  • Following Instructions (Strong/Advanced Level)
    Ability to follow instructions to the smallest detail while communicating ideas and suggestions to his/her supervisors in a timely and organized fashion.
  • Timeliness (Strong/Advanced Level)
    Ability to deliver effective solutions within specified time frames. Must not miss deadlines. However, if there is a possibility of missing a deadline, must communicate with supervisors and team members as early as possible in order to alert everyone about the situation.
Video Production
  • Adobe Premiere Pro (Strong/Advanced Level)
    Ability to use Adobe Premiere Pro CS 4 or better to create dynamic and visually appealing videos.
  • Apple Final Cut Pro (Strong/Advanced Level)
    Ability to use Apple Final Cut Pro to create dynamic and visually appealing videos.
  • Technical Understanding of Video Formats for the Web (Strong/Advanced Level)
    Technical understanding of video formats for the web and the ability to create/convert videos for the web.
